Overview

A semi submarine in Andaman is a vessel that is designed to operate partially submerged to provide cover from detection or attack. In the Andaman Sea, such a vessel could be used to smuggle drugs or other contraband into Thailand undetected. However, the Thai Navy has used semi-submarines for years to protect its coastline from incursions by such smugglers.
